An interesting one is &#8220;Sound and Taiwan&#8221; run by Wu, Tsan &#8211; Cheng (\u5433 \u71e6 \u653f). There is Sound Map with a collection of nearly 2000 recordings around Taiwan. The Sound Map is integrated with Google Maps, so you can easily pinpoint the exact locations of the recordings. Most of the recordings are Taipei centric, but there are plenty of recordings elsewhere in Taiwan and also Shanghai &#8211; surprisingly one very near my home!<\/p>\n<p>I encourage you to have a listen to the sounds of Taiwan. This eventually led to me purchasing a dual sport motorcycle \u2013 two in fact. Slowly my field recordings became less and less until I was riding off-road exclusively. This has led to many great adventures that I decided to share here. Hiking seemed a natural extension to the off-roading for me. Many hiking trails begin at the end of a motorcycle trail. So I would often follow them on foot, wondering where they would take me. I didn\u2019t want to forget these hiking trips, so I decided to write about them here. Since my first peak, JiuBaoShan \u2013 \u4e45\u4fdd\u5c71 in April of 2018, I\u2019ve hiked to nearly 70 peaks in Taiwan and had a ton of adventures! Taiwan is such a great country to hike.
